TAKE PHOTOS OF YOUR PET/S AND SEND THEM TO ME
My tips for taking good painting reference photos:
+ Kneel and come down to your pet's level. This helps steady the camera to prevent blur and makes a more personal composition.
+ Take the photo outdoors, preferably when it is cloudy. Natural lighting is best, but strong sunlight can white out detail.
+ Try a few angles, straight on, 3/4 angle, side on, looking up at your pet - avoid the looking down angle.
+ Get a good shot of their eyes - eyes are the window to the soul.
+ If you need inspiration take a look at some of the gallery, find your favourite one and try to recreate the same angle.
